Arrowhead General Insurance Agency, Inc. has expanded its offerings with the launch of a new commercial auto insurance product. According to a company statement, this program is in collaboration with an A+ rated carrier, with an aim of catering to the evolving needs of California’s construction and contractor sector.

Becky Pinto, the president of Arrowhead Workers’ Compensation Program, expressed optimism about the new offering, highlighting the challenges faced in the commercial auto insurance landscape in recent years.

“Commercial auto has become increasingly difficult in recent years,” Pinto said. “We’re looking forward to providing this solution to our agents and customers and offering it as a companion product to select Workers’ Compensation contractor/construction risks.”

The commercial auto product is designed for California-based customers in construction-related industries. The program features include targeting contractor and construction risks, with a premium range from $2,500 to $50,000. It accommodates businesses with 1 to 20 power units and a gross vehicle weight of under 20,000 pounds, operating within a 100-mile radius. In addition, the product offers a 12-month policy term with direct billing and allows mid-term moves for clients with an in-force Arrowhead Workers’ Compensation policy.

Arrowhead noted submissions for this program are done through its online site, ArrowheadExchange.com. Brokers will issue ID cards and certificates of insurance.

“This companion product grants Arrowhead a timely opportunity to offer what has become a niche product despite its obvious purpose,” Pinto explained. “Everyone on our Workers’ Compensation team is excited to move forward into 2024 amid this development.”
