Mitch Insurance chief executive Adam Mitchell (pictured) has been honoured as one of The Peak’s Emerging Leaders this year.

The 2024 edition of the elite list is dedicated to celebrating under-40 Canadian innovators who are making waves in various sectors.

Mitchell stands out in the finance and investing category as the sole leader from the property and casualty insurance sector to make the cut.

The CEO, who took the helm at Mitch Insurance in 2008, is a third-generation broker. He has guided the Whitby-based company to remarkable achievements, including annual growth exceeding 30% over the last 10 years.

The Peak introduced the Emerging Leaders list in 2021, featuring up-and-coming young leaders who are making significant contributions to Canada’s economy, culture, and society. It delivers business, finance, and technology news to more than 170,000 Canadian business and public policy leaders through its daily newsletter.

Mitchell expressed his gratitude and excitement about the accolade: “It’s amazing to be recognized alongside so many inspiring leaders who are driving transformative change and reshaping their respective industries.

“I’m grateful for this honour and see it as a reaffirmation of our dedication to excellence, innovation, and our unwavering commitment to continue pushing boundaries to redefine the insurance experience for everyone.”

A family-owned business that has been trading since 1948, Mitch Insurance was voted Brokerage of the Year by the Insurance Brokers Association of Ontario in 2018.
