Charles Taylor has expanded its leadership team in the Asia Pacific region with the strategic appointments of Bob Battoo as the new managing director for aviation in the Asia Pacific, and Dennis San Jose taking on the role of resident technical manager for aviation asset management.

These appointments underscore Charles Taylor’s commitment to strengthening its aviation services offerings and support across the region.

Battoo (pictured) is making a return to Singapore to oversee Charles Taylor’s dedicated team that specialises in managing a wide array of aviation-related risks and claims for the insurance and leasing sectors. The team’s expertise encompasses aviation hull and liability issues, crisis management, as well as surveys and salvage operations for major regional carriers.

Additionally, Battoo and his team are set to maintain close collaboration with the company’s assistance services team, providing support to major airlines in the Asia Pacific with baggage liability claims, along with accident, health, and work injury compensation assurance claims.

“I am privileged to join Charles Taylor Adjusting and contribute to its legacy of excellence in aviation claims. Whether relating to complex aircraft, equipment or liability, airport infrastructure, baggage incidents, aircraft surveys, asset management, appraisal, or remarketing, we have the right capabilities to assess and manage your claims and technical projects efficiently for you,” Battoo said.

Aviation asset management services launched in APAC

Charles Taylor is introducing its aviation asset management services to the Asia Pacific market, with San Jose at the helm. This initiative marks the first instance of such services being available in the region, despite being a well-established offering in other parts of Charles Taylor’s global operations.

The aviation asset management service is designed to cater to the needs of aircraft owners, financiers, airlines, and leasing companies, providing a suite of services including aircraft lease management, technical asset management, aircraft remarketing, redelivery and repossession support, technical representation, and CAMO services.

“I am excited to join Charles Taylor Adjusting and help foster team growth while leveraging my experience and expertise. As a colleague and mentor, I am looking forward to collaborating with the next generation of adjusters,” San Jose said.

Richard Yerbury, CEO of Charles Taylor Claims Solutions – International, expressed his satisfaction with these new additions to the team.

“I am delighted Bob and Dennis are now part of our regional offering. Our aviation team delivers better results for the world of aviation insurance with our specialist technical expertise, comprehensive range of solutions, global footprint, and powerful technology,” he said.
