ARAG Services Australia Pty Ltd, a legal expense insurance (LEI) provider, has teamed up with License Protect Pty Ltd, a corporate authorised representative of Community Broker Network (CBN), to introduce Licence Protect Legal Expense Insurance (LEI).

The product provides coverage for legal expenses that may be involved in protecting one’s legal rights as a driver, according to a news release.

“We are excited to be a part of this new venture… To be able to provide a solution for legal expenses and Helpline benefits to drivers is a great value add and fills an existing gap in the market,” said Dean Bowen, managing director of License Protect AU.

License Protect, in partnership with ARAG Services Australia, has introduced the only licence protection cover available in Australia, serving as an affordable extension to standard car insurance. The offering ensures legal representation when necessary and grants access to a dedicated legal helpline.

“We are excited to partner with CBN and the team at Licence Protect… Products like Licence Protect fit our belief that every individual should be able to assert their legal rights, not just those who can afford it,” said Natasha Gale, CEO of ARAG Services Australia.

Priced from $60, the product targets licensed drivers, irrespective of the vehicle they operate. The news release notes both commercial and private operators can benefit from this. Acquiring Licence Protection will equip individuals with legal support akin to having a personal lawyer at their disposal, according to the news release.
