AIG appoints Rose Marie Glazer as General Counsel

American International Group, Inc. has announced that Rose Marie Glazer, who served as Interim General Counsel since October 1, 2023, has been named General Counsel, with immediate effect, overseeing AIG’s legal, compliance, regulatory and government affairs functions.

Ms. Glazer remains an Executive Vice President reporting to Peter Zaffino, AIG Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, and member of AIG’s Executive Leadership Team. Most recently, Ms. Glazer served as AIG’s Chief Human Resources & Diversity Officer since January 1, 2022.

Mr. Zaffino stated: “The legal, business and governance expertise that Rose Marie has demonstrated during her tenure, including most recently as Interim General Counsel, reaffirms that she is uniquely qualified for this leadership position. Rose Marie has played an instrumental role in the significant progress we have made in positioning AIG as a top performing global insurer. I look forward to continuing to work closely with her.”

Patricia Walsh, who had previously been announced as joining AIG, has recently decided to remain at Stripe, Inc.

Ms. Glazer is National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Directorship Certified, is a member of Latino Corporate Directors Association, and a member of the 2022 class of the Partnership for New York City’s David Rockefeller Fellows. She earned her law degree, cum laude, from Southern Methodist University School of Law in Dallas, Texas. She also has a BBA in accounting, summa cum laude, and a B.A. in Spanish, summa cum laude, from Southern Methodist University. She is admitted to the State Bar of Texas.
