SCOR Investment Partners, the asset management arm of the French reinsurance group and a manager of insurance-linked securities (ILS) funds, has announced a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) appointment, with long-standing executive Louis Bourrousse taking over the top-position.

Bourrousse joined SCOR Group back in 2013 and was most recently the Head of Business Development and Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the asset management arm, SCOR Investment Partners.

Outgoing CEO Fabrice Rossary is departing the SCOR Group after over 14 years at the firm, moving on to pursue a new opportunity, the company explained.

SCOR Investment Partners (SCOR IP) is targeting a new phase of its development and an acceleration of the growth of its third-party asset management activity under the new leadership.

SCOR Investment Partners has experienced strong growth of its Atropos catastrophe bond fund this year, which has helped to grow the overall assets of its ILS fund strategies to around $3.5 billion by the middle of the year.

Alexandre Jaeglé is moving up from the Head of Sales role to replace Bourrousse as Head of Business Development for the SCOR asset manager, a position that will see him overseeing all sales and marketing activities.

With Louis Bourrousse taking the CEO position, he will now lead a SCOR Investment Partners’ executive committee comprising of: Benjamin Ayache (Chief Operating Officer), Alexandre Jaeglé (Head of Business Development), Thibaut Lameyse (General Secretary), Marie-Suzanne Mazelier (Chief Investment Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer) and Eric Talleux (Chief Risk Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer).

François de Varenne, Group Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of SCOR, commented on the changes, “These appointments, all internal promotions, bear witness to the deep talent pool we have assembled at SCOR Investment Partners. We have developed successfully our third-party asset management franchise.
